JohnTory.ca

John Tory Web Site This has been a volunteer project - which perfectly suits the Faulkner Consulting implementation model. A range of individuals with specific skills and solutions were brought together as part of a coordinated development and ongoing support team - created and led by Miles Faulkner. The site has had significant success in terms of driving volunteers, donations and email recipients.

Miles Faulkner is proud to have been invited to take on this responsibility - and enthusiastically supports John Tory's campaign bid - based on John's distinguished Business career, strong service to the community and his overall Management philosophy with regard to ethical Government.

Candid Candidate is a two tier process that involves capturing video in both a studio and with a roving camera. This will be digitally edited and streamed via the John Tory campaign web site. According to Miles Faulkner, leader of the web team and this special project “…this is a real first for the use of multimedia and the internet in political campaigning. Candid Candidate will provide near real-time street level opinion. This is a leading edge campaign using leading edge technology.” Download the press release (pdf)

Michael de Monte, Producer notes: “it’s an excellent vehicle for visitors to Tory’s web site to see both the candidate and voters be ‘candid’ about what they want to see for Toronto. The archived video will also give web site visitors a much richer understanding of the issues.”

Ted Southey - The Southey Group

Southey Group were selected to build the multimedia booth as they had a very strong understanding of the design concept and were able to rapidly create the correct structure required. Southey Group have avery strong grasp of the kinds of requirements necessary for "high tech" structures and studios and can be contacted at 416-423-2838.

Jason McCann
Jason McCann is an online strategist for the John Tory mayoral campaign in Toronto. His experience as a journalist and online managing editor has proven invaluable in providing guidance and consultation in the design, execution and ongoing content management of www.johntory.ca.

Completing a post graduate journalism degree in 1996, Jason honed his online skills as an editor at toronto.com. Moving to Los Angeles in 1999, he project managed the launch of six online city guides for citysearch.com. After launching neworleans.citysearch.com, he assumed the managing editor position. Returning to Canada in 2000, Jason accepted the managing editor position at beer.com (formerly owned by Labatt Breweries, now D3 Management). beer.com is a top-tier online destination for the 19-to-30-year-old male demographic.
